Berkay Tuncbiz turned eighteen in lockdown, partway through an electrical course he did not want to finish, and decided the thing he actually wanted was to own his own time. He started with crypto during the 2021 boom.

It took him two years to make any money at all. Not two years to get good, and not two years to go full time. Two years before the work paid anything.

In between there was a moment that reads like an ending and was not one. He passed his second funded challenge ever, early, and took it as proof that his time had come. It had not. What followed was 2022, sixteen hours a day, learning and gathering data.

He now reports $1.4M in funded accounts, as stated by him and unverified by us. What he talks about is not the number. It is sizing, staying in the game, and counting results over years rather than over trades.

In his words

I've never ever thought about quitting ever, ive had 20 second thoughts but never ever anything seriously to consider quitting.
think in years not trades
prioritising sharpe ratio and equity curve health over big wins
Ull never ever make it if u aren't obsessed with collecting data and becoming the best. Its gonna take years.

Where he appears in the course

  • The risk management package is more important than the strategy
    what-risk-means
  • something i believed early on is that there is a HOLY GRAIL, i spent like 2 yrs learning from people who take like 1:10 trades minimum
    why-most-fail
  • Id stick to the basics, and take small profits and not believe in these mysterious holy grails
    why-most-fail
  • U cannot have high wr and high rr, its not possible over years of data
    expectancy
  • It took me 2 years to make any sort of money
