Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are used to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and collect usage data. Bidness uses a minimal set of cookies strictly necessary to operate the platform securely.
The following cookies may be set when you use Bidness:
| COOKIE | PROVIDER | PURPOSE | DURATION | ESSENTIAL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token | Supabase | Authentication — keeps you logged in to Bidness | Session | Yes |
| sb-refresh-token | Supabase | Refreshes your login session automatically | 1 week | Yes |
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention during payment processing | 1 year | Yes |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Session identifier for Stripe payment flows | 30 min | Yes |
| _vercel_insights | Vercel | Aggregate, anonymized page view analytics (no PII) | Session | No |
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage to store certain preferences locally on your device without sending data to our servers. This includes your watchlist symbols, chart display settings, theme preference, and dashboard widget layout. localStorage data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you take an action that syncs it (such as logging in and saving your watchlist to your account).
We use Vercel Analytics to collect aggregate, anonymized data about page views and navigation patterns. This data does not include personally identifiable information and cannot be linked to individual users. We use this data solely to understand how the platform is used and to improve performance and user experience.
We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service that builds a personal advertising profile out of your trading activity on this platform.
We do use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel for advertising measurement while we are running ads on Instagram or Facebook. It tells Meta which pages you viewed and whether you created a free account, began a paid checkout, or started a trial, along with the plan name and its price. It is never sent your email address, your name or your user id. See Section 5 of our Privacy Policy, and Meta's Ad Preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences, for how to limit it.
We also use the X (Twitter) pixel for advertising measurement. Unlike the Meta Pixel it is active on every page, not only while a campaign is running. It tells X which pages you viewed and whether you completed a signup, started a trial or completed a purchase; a purchase carries the amount, the currency and the Stripe session id. It is never sent your email address, your name, your phone number or your user id. See Section 5 of our Privacy Policy, and x.com/settings/privacy_and_safety, for how to limit it.
Apart from the advertising measurement pixels described in Section 4 and in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy, Bidness does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking technologies, Google Ads tracking or TikTok Pixel. No data broker places cookies on our platform. We do not display ads on Bidness and no advertiser has paid to have content promoted to you through Bidness.
Supabase (authentication) and Stripe (payment fraud prevention) set third-party cookies that are essential to the platform's operation. Neither uses them for advertising purposes. The advertising measurement pixels described in Section 4 also set their own identifiers: the X pixel on every page, and the Meta Pixel while a campaign is running. Their respective privacy policies govern their use of this data.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling the Supabase authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in to Bidness.

To opt out of Vercel Analytics, enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings — Vercel Analytics respects this signal.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. We will post the updated policy at askbidness.com/cookies with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
