Bidness is a retail trading intelligence platform built by Nathan Ridge and his 17-year-old son Carter — a New Orleans construction family who built a fintech startup in 6.5 weeks while running concrete jobs by day and trading stocks before school. Built for traders who can't afford $500-a-month tools.
Nathan Ridge has been a serial entrepreneur his whole life. His first business — a tree service — ran for 17 years. After that he spent three years working a construction job for someone else. In January 2026, he went out on his own again and started Ridge Construction.
Carter Ridge is his 17-year-old son, and the engineer who built the platform. Self-taught, and up before the open most days it was being written.
On February 20, 2026, news broke before the open that Rackspace had announced a deal with Palantir. Carter took a position and told his dad. That was the day the spark hit, and the reason there is a company.
From that night through the soft launch on April 27, Carter ran 20-hour days on roughly four hours of sleep. Pre-market trading at dawn. School during the day. Construction jobs with his dad. Building Bidness in every gap. 6.5 weeks straight.
Nathan ran the business — the name "Bidness," the branding, feature direction, partnerships, and the strategic instincts that come from a lifetime of trying things and watching what works. He still runs Ridge Construction full-time during the day.
The full public launch is May 14, 2026 — three days before Carter turns 18 and Nathan turns 50.
We built this for people like us — traders who can't afford $500 a month in tools. We wanted to make something with so much data, at a fair price, that the average person could finally trade with the same edge the big guys have.
Lifelong entrepreneur. Ran a tree service for 17 years, spent three years in construction employed by someone else, and went out on his own with Ridge Construction in January 2026. Came up with the Bidness name, branding, and vision — and runs business strategy, partnerships, and content while Carter builds. Tried day trading himself 8–10 years ago and didn't stick with it; the experience shapes how he thinks about who Bidness is for.
Self-taught engineer who built the entire Bidness platform — frontend, backend, AI integration, billing, autotrade infrastructure, and the geopolitics globe. Turns 18 in May 2026, three days after Bidness launches.
Bob is Bidness's in-house AI research system. He writes up the conditions he finds each morning and explains his reasoning for each one. His system prompt is a blend of Carter's low-float momentum playbook and broader market dynamics, refined over the build to read setups the way a trader does, not the way a screener does.
Daily AI-generated write-ups of the conditions Bob finds, with his reasoning for each. Trained on a mix of low-float momentum tactics and broader market dynamics.
Customizable 9-panel dashboard with market data, sector heatmaps, futures, news, sentiment, and watchlists.
Full paper-trading platform with stop, stop-limit, and limit orders. Includes a built-in prop-firm evaluation simulator.
Interactive globe tracking conflict zones, sanctions, chokepoints, and tanker traffic. Built for traders of macro setups.
Autotrade infrastructure for Kalshi prediction markets. Tier-gated, with a public Captain+ release planned post-launch.
SEC Form 4 filings, 13F institutional holdings, analyst targets, and IPO calendar — all in one tier-gated research surface.
